ExxonMobil Exploration Supports Reforestation Project to Honor His Majesty the King

Yongyot Harnsuvanich (2nd left), vice president of ExxonMobil Exploration and Production Khorat Inc. (EMEPKI), presented a 500,000-baht cheque to Dr. Songpope Polachan (4th right), deputy director-general, Department of Mineral Fuels, Ministry of Energy, to support the permanent reforestation project to honor His Majesty the King. The presentation ceremony was held at the conference room, the Department of Mineral Fuels in Bangkok.

This is a subsequent donation to the 2.5 million baht previously given by EMEPKI in this project in the last 2 years.

The Department of Mineral Fuels, in conjunction with petroleum exploration and production industry including EMEPKI, jointly found the “Department of Mineral Fuels and Petroleum Companies Foundation” to coordinate with forestry department agencies concerned in the reforestation project to honor His Majesty the King. The project was aimed to plant a total of 42,000 rais of destructive land in Petchaboon Province, and will promote forest and wildlife conservation.
