Esso (Thailand) Public Company Limited has launched a nationwide campaign to promote safe practices in Esso service stations to prevent fire. Attendants at Esso service stations across Thailand are wearing vests with safety messages such as “Please turn off the engine”, “No Smoking” and “Do not use mobile phones while refueling” to raise safety awareness among customers.

Recently, there were a few reported fire incidents at service stations which resulted in injuries and property damages. Investigations showed that the most common cause was due to customers not turning off the engines while their vehicles were being refueled.

As a good corporate citizen with a strong safety culture, Esso has decided to launch this safety campaign to increase public awareness on fire safety through prominently displayed posters and vests worn by attendants with safety messages.
