Esso Supports Check Dams Project to Celebrate Her Majesty the Queen’s Birthday Anniversary

Mr. Mongkolnimit Auacherdkul (2nd left), director and public affairs manager, Esso (Thailand) Public Company Limited, presented 500,000 baht to Chantaburi Governor Prachak Suwanpakdi (2nd right) to support “Check dams project to celebrate Her Majesty the Queen’s Birthday Anniversary” at Kung Krabaen Bay Royal Development Study Center in Chanthaburi.

The Kung Krabaen Bay Royal Development Study Center was initially established by His Majesty the King on 28 December 1981 in order to conduct study, research and experimentation on appropriate development methods suitable for the development needs in the coastal area of Chanthaburi Province. Slowing down the water flow from the mountains, the construction of check dams at Kung Krabaen Bay will help restore mangrove forests, promote coastal fish stocks, and prevent sea water intrusion into agricultural lands.
