Esso Supports 30th CU Marine Science Camp

 Mongkolnimit Auacherdkul (back row, 5th left), Director and Public Affairs Manager, Esso (Thailand) Public Company Limited, presented a 100,000-baht check to Dr. Phassaphol Ngamuko, (back row, 3th left), Assistant Dean, Faculty of Science, CU, to support the 30th marine science camp, “Share Our Soul Save Our Sea”. The presentation ceremony was recently held at the conference room, the Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University.

The Marine Science Club, the Faculty of Science, Chulalongkorn University will organize the 7-day program during 16-22 March 2009. This program aims at providing knowledge as well as to educate the marine ecology to the youth. The program will consist of a full day of classroom lecture at the Faculty of Science, and a field trip and marine study activities around coral reef at Koh Pla Muek and Tien beach in Koh Samae San, Amphoe Sattahip, Chon Buri province.

Realizing the importance of environmental conservation, Esso has supported the Marine Science Camp since 1980. The program has been successful in enhancing awareness on marine ecology as well as the need for conservation and restoration of marine lives among the target group. Participants are selected from interested high school students nationwide.
