Esso Supports Public Charity Organizations and Introduces Special Project

 Mr. Mongkolnimit Auacherdkul (8th at left), Director and Public Affairs Manager, Esso (Thailand) PCL., presented supports for social development activities to 3 public charity organizations at the amount of Baht 300,000 each which included the Population And Community Development Association (PDA), The Hope of Thai People Foundation (HOPE) and The Human Development Foundation (HDF Mercy Centre), totaling the contributions up to Baht 900,000. The activities are to work together under the project “ESSO/GWIM – CSR” by enhancing community development works as part of Global Women in Management experience and upgrade the joint social development efforts of local NGOs.

Esso and ExxonMobil Affiliates Company initiated Global Women in Management (GWIM) program by selecting and presenting scholarships for a month-long guided mentoring on “NGO management” for middle-level management social working women to attend the global training at Washington DC, U.S.A. A total of 6 Thai social workers had attended this course since 2005. Support for the course was valued at 1 million baht of full scholarships for each participant and Esso Thailand has implemented this program for 4 consecutive years.
