Esso Scholarships for University Students

 Mr. Robert Michael Cooper (middle row-executives group, 2nd from right), Chairman and Managing Director of Esso (Thailand) Public Company Limited together with Dr. Sumet Yamnoon (middle row-executives group, 2nd from left), Secretary-General of The Office of the Higher Education Commission (O.H.E.C.), jointly presided over the presentation ceremony of the Esso Rattanakosin Bicentennial Fund for 2010.

Fifty 10,000-baht scholarships with a total value of 500,000 baht were given to students studying engineering, science, technology and energy from state universities nationwide.

In recognition of the importance of higher education, Esso has worked with the Office of the Higher Education Commission (O.H.E.C.) since 1982 when the Esso Rattanakosin Bicentennial Fund was established as part of the Bicentennial celebration. In addition to an initial endowment of 1 million baht, the Company has continued to support the fund and the scholarships program every year since then. To date over 1,500 scholarships have been granted through the fund, with a total value of over 10 million baht.
