Esso Supports 2010 Esso–Vocational Science Contest

Mr. Mongkolnimit Auacherdkul (3rd right), Director and Manager of Public and Government Affairs, Esso (Thailand) Public Company Limited, presented a cheque for 300,000 baht to Assoc. Prof. Tipaporn Limpaseni (3rd left), Vice President, The Science Society of Thailand under the Royal Patronage of His Majesty the King, in support of the Esso-Vocational Science Contest program.

Recognizing that science and technology studies play a major role in the country’s development, Esso, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and the Science Society of Thailand under the Royal Patronage of His Majesty the King, launched the Esso-Vocational Science Contest program in 1991. Since then, Esso has continuously supported this program for 20 years. The program aims to promote science education and skill development among students. This has resulted in various innovative scientific inventions which can be used to benefit daily life and society, and contribute to national development. The program has been an outstanding success, with several projects winning awards in international competitions.

This year’s winning projects from the Esso-Vocational Science Contest will be on display during the National Science and Technology Fair 2010 during August 7-9, 2010 at Bitec Exhibition Centre, Bangna.
