Esso Awards Women’s Economic Opportunity Initiative Scholarship to Thai Social Worker

Bangkok – Recognizing that women are a vital factor in economic development, Esso is supporting a local member of the Association for the Promotion of the Status of Women with a scholarship to attend an intensive management course in Washington DC, USA.

Mr. Mongkolnimit Auacherdkul (3rd left), Director and Manager of Public and Government Affairs, Esso (Thailand) Public Company Limited, an affiliate of Exxon Mobil Corporation, recently presented a congratulatory letter to Ms. Tippawan Marasri (4th left), Director of Administration, Association for the Promotion of the Status of Women under the Royal Patronage of HRH Princess Soamsawali, on her receiving the scholarship to attend the “Global Women in Management (GWIM) Program: Advancing Women’s Economic Opportunities” from Exxon Mobil Corporation.

Sponsored by Exxon Mobil Corporation, the program will be conducted by The Center for Development and Population Activities (CEDPA) in Washington DC, USA. The program includes an intensive one-month workshop and a year-long guided mentoring on “NGO management” for middle-level management women from community organizations in various countries.
