Esso Supports Road Safety Campaign for Students and Motorcyclists in Chiangmai

Chiangmai – Esso recently took part in a safety promotion campaign “Safe Ride, Lights-on and Fasten Safety Helmet” for students and motorcyclists at Tha Pae, Chiangmai province.

Mr. Mongkolnimit Auacherdkul (back row, 9th left), Director and Manager of Public and Government Affairs, Esso (Thailand) Public Co.,Ltd., and Mr. Choochart Keelapaeng (back row, 10th left), Deputy Governor of Chiangmai, jointly presided at the launch event. On this occasion, Esso also presented a cheque for 200,000 baht and safety helmets for use in the program’s safe ride workshop.

The program was held with the cooperation of the Thai Motorcycle Enterprise Association (TMEA), Department of Land Transport, the Royal Thai Police, Esso (Thailand) Public Co., Ltd. and ExxonMobil affiliates in Thailand to promote road safety awareness and knowledge among motorcyclists and the public to minimize the number of accidents. The program included training on traffic rules and safe driving to vocational students, and distribution of standard safety helmets to those who passed the training and students who ride bicycles.

Esso holds safety as its prime policy in operations. It also actively participates in safety promotion campaigns to support the government’s policy for public safety enhancement.
