Bangkok – Esso has donated diesel engine oil to The Royal Thai Navy for boats that are being used to deal with the massive run-off of water that is flowing downstream along the Chao Phraya River. The boats are being used to push floodwater out to the Gulf of Thailand at an increased flow rate.

Mr. Isra Sunthornvipart (5th left), Public and Government Affairs Advisor, and Mr. Sanae Srisuwan (6th left), Special Project Advisor, Esso (Thailand) Public Company Limited, presented the diesel engine oil, which included 200 pails of Mobil Delvac MX 15W-40 and 140 cartons of Essolube X2, worth 1,000,000 baht (one million baht), to Admiral Surasak Rounroengrom (4th left), Commander-in-Chief, Royal Thai Navy, at the Royal Navy Hall, Bangkok Yai, Bangkok.

The use of the boats of The Royal Thai Navy to push the floodwater out to the sea is another way to mitigate the impact of the current situation by trying to keep the water level from rising.
