Esso provides support to the Thai Red Cross Society for the acquisition of a blood plasma freezing truck

Bangkok – Esso (Thailand) Public Co., Ltd. provided a contribution of 1.2 million baht to the Thai Red Cross Society for the acquisition of a blood plasma freezing truck.

Mr. Isra Sunthornvipart, Esso Public and Government Affairs Advisor, presented a cheque for 1,200,000 baht to M.R. Priyangsri Watanakun, Assistant Secretary General of the Thai Red Cross Society and Director of Fund Raising Bureau for the assembly to acquire a plasma freezing truck which will be used for the transportation of plasma from the National Blood Centre and 13 Regional Blood Centres to The Thai Red Cross “Plasma Fractionation Centre.”

The blood plasma freezing truck will deliver plasma to the Plasma Fractionation Centre which will produce pharmaceutical plasma-derived products for specific treatments of kidney disease, cancer, diabetes, SLE and hemophilia, replacing some imported medicines. The Plasma Fractionation Centre was built in commemoration of HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn’s 5th Cycle Birthday Celebrations at Bangphra, Sriracha district, Chonburi province.
