Esso Club, together with members of Esso Smiles Card and employees of ExxonMobil in Thailand, donates more than 1 million baht to Thai Red Cross for Oxygen High Flow purchase during Covid-19 Pandemic

Bangkok, Thailand – Esso Club, together with members of Esso Smiles Card and employees of ExxonMobil affiliates in Thailand, presented a donation of more than 1 million baht to the Thai Red Cross for the purchase of Oxygen High Flow in treatment assistance to Covid-19 patients.

Following the COVID-19 pandemic situation and increasing number of infected patients in the country, Esso Club has arranged a relief assistance in recognizing the need of Oxygen High Flow and raised donations from the current and retired employees of ExxonMobil in Thailand.  The employees have actively participated and contributed funds up to 729,689 Baht. Members of Esso Smiles Card have also participated via the redemption points for this donation during mid May to June 2021 which has reached 291,310 Baht.  The joint donation totaled 1,020,999 Baht.

Dr. Adisak Jangkamolkulchai (4th from left), chairman and managing director of Esso (Thailand) Public Company Limited, said, “I very much admired our employees’ active participation to make the society a better place and in their donation on this occasion.  And I am also very delighted and highly appreciated Esso Smiles Card members who joined the donation.  It really demonstrates how we are all in this together, and I am honored to represent our employees and the customers to give this donation to the Thai Red Cross Society.”

Esso Club President Yodpong Sutatham (3rd from left) added, “Esso Club has been participating in several societal assistance activities including the battling against Covid-19 outbreak.  Recently in March, we have joined with the company’s business alliances in donating necessity items to children and bed-ridden patients in Klong Toey community.  Realizing the need of Oxygen High Flow of the Thai Red Cross, we have raised funds during mid May to June 2021 which resulted in active participation from the employees of Esso and ExxonMobil affiliates in Thailand including the retirees more than expected.”

In receiving the donation, Khan Prachuabmoh (4th from right), Thai Red Cross Director of the Fund Raising Bureau mentioned, “The Thai Red Cross Society truly appreciated this donation by the Esso Club, members of Esso Smiles Card and employees of Esso and ExxonMobil affiliates in Thailand.  This funds will be used for the purchase of Oxygen High Flow which are still in need by hospitals under the Thai Red Cross Society nationwide for treatment of Covid-19 patients in critical conditions.
