Esso’s Sriracha refinery donates PPE to Queen Savang Vadhana Memorial Hospital

CHONBURI, Thailand – The Esso (Thailand) Public Company refinery in Sriracha today contributed personal protective equipment (PPE) to the Queen Savang Vadhana Memorial Hospital for use by medical professionals working with COVID-19 patients.

 “We are all in this together, and this is just one small way we can play a part in the effort against COVID-19,”   said Suchart.  “Our hearts are filled with gratitude for the medical staff that is working hard during long hours to provide care.  This PPE is our way of showing appreciation for them while helping them work safely.  Our company puts the highest value on safety, so medical staff having the right PPE is critical – especially during their fight with this pandemic.”

Chonburi is one of the provinces having significant cases during the ongoing COVID-19 situation as the number of confirmed cases in Thailand continues to increase.  The Esso refinery became aware of the need for the PPE based on the long-standing relationship with the hospital and other medical providers in the area.  In the past, the refinery has supported various charitable events with the hospital as part of its ongoing community support and engagement programs.
