Esso Club donates necessity items and cash totaling 150,000 baht in assistance to children in Klong Toey community

Dr.  Adisak Jangkamolkulchai (1st from left), chairman and managing director of Esso (Thailand) Public Company Limited and Siriwan Prommool (2nd from left), Esso Club president representing employees in donating necessary items and cash equivalent to 150,000 baht to Boonpreeya Pattarachartyothin (2nd from right), president of The Foundation for the Welfare of the Mentally Retarded of Thailand under the Royal Patronage of HM the Queen (Klong Toey branch) and Sukhontip Thianthong (1st from right), head of Slum Child Care Foundation under the Royal Patronage of HRH Princess Galyani Vadhana Krom Luang Naradhiwas Rajanagarindra.  The presentation took place at the Foundation for the Welfare of the Mentally Retarded of Thailand (Klong Toey branch).  

"We have emphasized in giving care to the development of the community and society, especially in area where we operate.  I hope that this donation will be useful for both Foundations in their efforts to the children assistance. “said Dr. Adisak, the Esso chairman.

Boonpreeya, president of the Foundation for the Welfare of Mentally Retarded of Thailand at Klong Toey branch said, "I would like to thank Esso who have come and make a charitable contribution with love. To resolve social problems in our society, in addition to financial support, we would be glad to receive your ideas to help develop the children so that they can help themselves and lessen their parents’ burdens."

“We are also thankful to Esso for this support. The donations will be of great help to benefit our 300 children,” said Sukhonthip, head of Slum Child Care Foundation.

Esso Club earlier conducted fund-raising event during mid-May to July through various activities such as selling t-shirts, cloth masks and delicious food with great support from employees for this charitable opportunity.  The event was well participated by employees of Esso and ExxonMobil in Thailand.
