Bangkok - Esso (Thailand) Public Company Limited and ExxonMobil affiliates in Thailand donated file cabinets to the Human Development Foundation - Mercy Centre (HDF) to facilitate its documentation.

On this occasion, Dr. Taweesak Bunluesin (5th from right), director of Esso (Thailand), accompanied by Yupa Wongvitaya (4th from left), global learning delivery services manager of ExxonMobil Limited, and Charoenchai Yingpunyachok (4th from right), Thailand facilities manager of CBRE (Thailand) Co., Ltd., jointly presented 100 used cabinets, which are still in good conditions to Father Joseph H. Maier at the Human Development Foundation-Mercy Centre, Klong Toey, Bangkok.

Mercy Centre is a shelter for street kids, as well as a kindergarten, and a community meeting place. The center is located in the midst of Klong Toey ghetto area with lush garden and playgrounds.  Originally built on a former Buddhist Temple site on Port Authority property, Mercy Centre has stood as a small shelter since the establishment about 50 years ago until it was later rebuilt through a generous gift to accommodate expanding services to orphans, street children, and children living with HIV/AIDS.  This file cabinet donation will help facilitate its administration particularly on documentation system. 

Esso and ExxonMobil affiliates in Thailand have joined with the Mercy Center in several community programs including the support this time.
