Esso (Thailand) is awarded AMCHAM’s Platinum CSR Excellence Recognition 

Bangkok – The American Chamber of Commerce in Thailand (AMCHAM) awarded Esso (Thailand) Public Company Limited with the “Platinum Level” recognition for corporate social responsibility for ten consecutive years.

Michael George DeSombre (3rd from right), U.S. ambassador to Thailand, presented the 2020 AMCHAM Corporate Social Responsibility Excellence Recognition Platinum Level Award to representatives of Esso (Thailand) Public Company Limited Dr. Taweesak Bunluesin (3rd  from left), director, accompanied by Jutarat Wareechuensuk, (1st from right), investor relations and planning manager, Yupa Wongvitaya (2nd  from right), ExxonMobil global learning delivery services manager, ExxonMobil Limited. The presentation ceremony took place at Conrad hotel, Bangkok.

The AMCHAM CSR Excellence (ACE) program was established to raise corporate social responsibility commitment, share best practices, and provide recognition to AMCHAM members who have conducted business to create long-term economic and social value.

The award was in recognition of activities in assistance during Covid-19 pandemic situation which included Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) donation to needed hospitals such as Bamrasnaradura Infectious Diseases Institute, Namphong Hospital, Ubonratana Hospital, Chonburi Hospital and Queen Savang Vadhana Memorial Hospital; the giving of 4,000 reusable masks to deliverymen at selected Esso service stations;  donation of necessity items and cash in assistance to children in Klong Toey Community; donation of survival bags to communities surrounding Esso Sriracha Refinery during Covid-19 situation on the volunteer program “Day of Caring”, and donation in partnership with Esso customers via “Smile” loyalty program to the Thai Red Cross for medical supplies.
