Esso supports STEM education and presents “Esso-Ratanakosin Bicentennial Scholarship Funds” to university students
Bangkok - Esso presented 30 scholarships worth 600,000 baht to undergraduate students in engineering, computer science, technology, science, accounting, business administration, finance field (STEM Education) from state universities nationwide via Higher Education Commission.

On this occasion Dr. Taweesak Bunluesin (photo at the top – 5th from left) , director of Esso (Thailand) Public Company Limited and Prof. Dr. Sampan Rittidej (4th from left), secretary-general for the Higher Education Commission presided over the presentation ceremony.
Esso Director Dr. Taweesak said, “For 39 years, Esso has continuously coordinated with the office of Higher Education Commission on the established Esso-Ratanakosin Bicentennial Funds which could provide up to 2,160 scholarships, totaling more than 17.5 million Baht to the students with good academic performance but still in need of financial assistance. The funds have been given to undergraduate university students in STEM education particularly in engineering, computer science, technology, science, accounting, business administration and finance fields nationwide.
Higher Education Commission Secretary-General Prof. Dr. Sampan added, “The Esso-Ratanakosin Bicentennial Funds since 1982 have provided those students with better education and quality of life. This is a good corporate citizenship from a private sector that recognizes the importance of providing opportunities to students to further their educational endeavors”
Due to the prolonged COVID -19 pandemic situation, the Office of Higher Education Commission has applied a new normal model via virtual interviews and fund presentations at each of the universities.
