Esso Joins Sa Kaeo community college to promote tourism education and training

Bangkok – Esso (Thailand) Public Company Limited coordinated with the Sa Kaeo Community College to promote tourism in support of the Royal Thai Government’s efforts to strengthen the country’s tourism sector in preparation for the upcoming Asean Economic Community (AEC).

Mr. Neil A. Hansen (3rd left), Esso Chairman and Managing Director, presented a check for 100,000 Baht to Mr. Sirapoj Jariyawutikul (4th left), Director of the Sa Kaeo Community College, to help fund the College’s program on tourism education and training. The program includes training for local tour guides, particularly for those students and people living along the country’s borders, consistent with the Government’s efforts to fully leverage AEC opportunities.

The Sa Kaeo Community College, Sa Kaeo province, established this special program to upgrade the quality and number of local tour guides to support the growing tourism business in the area. The trainees will learn more about tourist attractions in their community and acquire tour guide skills so they can appropriately represent the community with interesting information and demonstrate a positive service approach in a professional manner.
