Esso receives 2016 BMA Toilet of the Year Award for fuel refilling station category

Esso (Thailand) Public Company Limited, represented by Mr. Surachet Khundaechanont (2nd left), Area Manager, and Mr. Kunchat Kaewpintong (3rd left), service station dealer from Phet Suwan Energy Company Limited received the 2016 BMA Toilet of the Year Award in the category of fuel refilling station from Ms. Phussadee Tamthai (4th left), Deputy Bangkok Metropolitan Administration Governor, at the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA).

Esso service station located on Romklao road, Ladkrabang district, operated by Phet Suwan Energy Company Limited, is the only fuel refilling station that won the 2016 BMA Toilet of the Year Award which is given based on compliance with national public toilet standards in cleanliness, accessibility, safety, and other criteria such as energy efficiency and usage of biological toilet cleaners.

“We adopted a new model for our restroom construction. While cleanliness is one of our first priorities, good ventilation is also of great importance. Also, we try to reduce the use of chemicals and instead use safe, eco-friendly biological products for toilet cleaning,” said Mr. Kunchat Kaewpintong, service station dealer from Phet Suwan Energy Co., Ltd.

The Toilet of the Year Award is considered and presented by the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration to entrepreneurs and owners of toilets in public facilities. The award recognizes efforts to invest in improving public toilets’ hygiene to comply with national standards for better city sanitation and people’s quality of life.
