Esso joins TV Channel 3, Community alliances and Klong Toey District Office in developing fun-to-learn library for students at Wat Saphan School

Esso, together with TV channel 3, Rama 4 community alliances and Klong Toey District Office took part in a volunteer program to develop a fun-to-learn library for Wat Saphan School in Klong Toey, which is located nearby our offices.

Siriwan Prommool, vice president of Esso Employee Club, along with over 50 volunteers from Esso (Thailand) Public Company Limited and ExxonMobil Affiliates in Thailand, joined volunteers from Thai Television Channel 3, together with representatives of Theptharin hospital, Chulalongkorn University Book Center and Rama 4 Community in renovating Wat Saphan School’s library to cultivate a love of reading and learning for students living in the neighboring community.  The event was well recognized and chaired by Klong Toey District Office Director Atcharawadi Chaisuwirat.

Esso has encouraged employees to donate books, supplies and educational toys for the “Toy Library Corner” to support this program.  In addition, volunteers have arranged craft activities such as doing “Ramayana Mask” and playing with clay which allowed the students to exercise their muscles and practice innovation.  Other activities included bookshelf arrangements and library decorations with the objective to transform this library into a creative learning space for all young readers at Wat Saphan School.
