Esso awards scholarships to university students in engineering and science

Esso presented 55 scholarships worth 550,000 Baht to undergraduate students in engineering, science, and related fields from state universities nationwide. Jeremy R. Osterstock (4th left, executive row), chairman and managing director of Esso (Thailand) Public Company Limited, and Dr. Aurasa Pavavimol (3rd right, executive row), deputy secretary for Higher Education Commission, presided over the presentation ceremony.

Osterstock said, “For 37 years, Esso in coordination with the Office of the Higher Education Commission has provided and added on the established Esso-Rattanakosin Bicentennial Fund up to more than 2,150 scholarships, totaling 17 million Baht, to university students in engineering and science fields nationwide to support their educational pursuit which will enable them to contribute to the advancement of Thai society.”

Dr. Aurasa added that “Esso has provided scholarships to university students over the years. This funding is a valuable assistance to the students who have good academic performance but still need financial support. This is a good corporate citizenship from private sector that recognizes the importance of providing opportunities to students to further their education.
