Bangkok - Esso’s employee blood donation club and Esso (Thailand) Public Company Limited, represented by Mr. Isra Sunthornvipart, Public and Government Affairs Advisor and Mr. Pracha Intarasen, Head of Esso’s employee blood donation club, received certificates in recognition of participation in the blood donation campaign from M.R. Priyangsri Watanakun, Assistant Secretary–General and Director, Fund Raising Bureau, The Thai Red Cross Society.
Certificates were given to recognize Esso’s employee blood donation club for successfully collecting 920 units or 368,000 ccs of blood for the Thai Red Cross Society in 2015. This year, to coincide with the 84th birthday of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the team is organizing another blood donation campaign with an aim to collect at least 400,000 ccs of blood to assist patients in need throughout the country.
The current number of blood donors in Thailand is still insufficient for the increasing rate of demand for blood usage each year. This is, therefore, an opportunity for Esso employees to “give blood, save lives” and give back to the community.
The Esso employee blood donation club was established in 1990 and is comprised of members who are employees of Esso and ExxonMobil affiliates in Thailand. The club arranges quarterly blood donations at the Esso Tower.
